The upcoming Skypephone IM2 (until now it was known as S2) from 3 has just passed the FCC and apparently will soon be available for purchase. Unfortunately, we don't know when and where exactly, but the FCC approval means we can expect it in the U.S. The device will use HSDPA data network instead of GSM to help users save on voice calls. Samsung's SGH-i907 recently passed through the FCC. The i907, which could possibly be a variant of the i900 Omnia, sports dual-band WCDMA (850/1900MHz) and seems likely to be bound for AT&T's high-speed HSDPA network when it is released. Read the full story here.
